After reading reviews from other people who've bought this product, and knowing that I like to 'tinker' with things, I decided to take the plunge on this DIY project. The overall process is not difficult at all, as long as you have an eye for detail and some basic organization skills. There are many small - easily lost parts - so i recommend doing your iPhone 6 LCD screen replacement on a large surface. As you disassemble your iphone, organize the parts around your work area following the layout of the phone, and designate one position of the phone as your default position (laying flat on the work space, the home button to your right, and earpiece to your left, and each corresponding part put just to the side of each area. That helped me keep track of each part to make reassembly easier.
The email with tutorial video didn't come until the day after delivery (I guess because it was a Sunday delivery and most offices are closed), so i looked up "passionTR" on youtube and their video popped right in the results. I recommend watching the tutorial video all the way through at first to understand the concept and process, then go back to do the work while pausing/playing the video each step of the way.
The tools are cheap quality, but will get the job done. My mistake was that pressed too hard on the philips head screwdriver, and damaged part of the tip so it wouldn't grip the screws with enough torque to loosen. I just went to WalMart and bought a 44 piece screwdriver set, which will be convenient to have around for future use. One thing I wish the kit came with was the precision fine-tip tweezers. I ended up using some nose-hair scissors to pry up some parts of the phone without damaging them, so it worked well. Just be resourceful, but careful.
Some people expressed concerns about image quality and responsiveness of the replacement screen, but I don't see/feel any issues. Works great! For 1-1. 5 hours of focused work, this is a great value, and you will save so much money compared to paying someone else to fix your screen. But, if you're not the type to focus for an extended period of time, have extremely shaky hands, or just don't have up to 2 hours for a project, by all means pay someone to do the work for you and patron a local business.
